What is the damage deposit and when is it due?

The damage deposit for the Discovery Lodge is $500.00 and is due 30 days prior to your event.

What is the alcohol policy?

Alcohol must be provided and served by a vendor on Burdette Park’s approved list, available on request. In addition, you need to hire a Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputy to be present the entire time alcohol is being served.

When is check in and check out?

Check in time for the Discovery Lodge is 10am. Check out is midnight.

Can I get into the Discovery Lodge the day before my event to decorate?

If the Discovery Lodge has not been reserved for the day prior to your event, you may gain access to the facility from noon-4pm to decorate.

Who can cater at the Discovery Lodge?

You can choose whichever caterer best meets your needs!

Is outdoor seating available?

Outdoor seating is available for up to 180 guests.

Can my guests leave their cars in the Discovery Lodge parking lot overnight?

Yes. All vehicles must be picked up before 10am the following morning.

What can I use for my wedding send off?

Rice, sparklers, and other pyrotechnics are prohibited. Bird seed and bubbles are preferred.

Can I use candles as centerpieces?

Open flame is prohibited. Please use flameless candles.
